SECOND COLLECTION
There will be a Second Collection this weekend, May 11th and 12th to benefit the Catholic Communication Campaign which develops media programming, projects and resources that promote Gospel values; televised Masses and diocesan newspapers benefit from this collection. Your support would be appreciated. Next weekend, May 18th and 19th, there will be a second collection to benefit the Seminarians in the Archdiocese.

ST. MARY’S ST. VINCENT DE PAUL           
All through the year, St. Mary’s St. Vincent de Paul asks parishioners to make donations of gift certificates to Shaw’s and Stop and Shop and gifts of money.  These donations help St. Vincent support those parishioners who are going through a difficult time.  You can bring your donation to the parish office or you can mail it in. We would truly appreciate your support.

When her days on earth are over, a mother's love lives on... through many generations, with God's blessings on each one. ROSE DRIVE --- RESPECT FOR LIFE
            This weekend, Mother’s Day, The Respect Life group will be sponsoring a Rose Drive after the masses.  The money raised will go to promote Respect for Life causes in the state through Mass Citizens For Life.
 
LIFE IN THE SPIRIT
            If you are looking for peace and purpose in your everyday life, our Spring Life in the Spirit Seminar will continue on Tuesdays after the 7:15PM Mass.  Learn about the wonders, works and gifts of the Spirit.  Join us for 7 Tuesdays nights. CHILDREN’S CHOIR REHEARSAL NEWS
     The Children’s Choir is open to students in grades 2-8.   Rehearsals are Wednesdays, from 4:30-5:30 PM.   All members must attend rehearsal each week and arrive at 8:45AM on the Sundays assigned. No rehearsal May 22nd.

MINISTRY WEEKEND

Do you find yourself coming to Mass each week but not really being involved in the life of the parish?
Representatives will be available in the hospitality room after Masses on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 &19 to provide information on ministry and to help you get started.  Please see below for more information.
 
COMFORT FOOD MINISTRY
St. Mary’s Comfort Food Ministry was established to bring food and comfort to those who are recuperating from an illness, returning home from the hospital/rehab or dealing with grief from a loss and can use help with meals.
Please consider joining our “army” of volunteer cooks. If you have ever received a meal when you were sick, you know how much a small gesture like this can mean. Not only is it one less thing to worry about but it shows that person/family that they are part of a community that cares.
How it works- St. Mary’s Comfort Food Coordinators send out an email request to the team of volunteers requesting meals. Volunteers choose a date that works for them.  If you can’t, you don’t.  How easy is that!

FINDING FATIMA 
Please join us on Monday, May 13 to view the DVD Finding Fatima, a film by Ian and Dominic Higgins. The 90-minute docu-drama will be shown in the Parish Center at 9:30 AM and 6:30 PM.  All are welcome!
 
ST. MARY’S 8th ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
This special Golf date is Monday, June 17th at 1:00PM at Atlantic Country Club, Plymouth. Registration forms have been mailed; if you did not receive one, please call the office. This is a great day of golf, which includes a steak dinner at the parish center, and awards will be given out. 
          Hope you get a foursome together and play golf with us; if not, maybe you can be a sponsor. (Donations of Red Sox tickets, foursome of golf, golf clubs, etc are needed.). Call Margie Gallagher at 826-4303.
 
25th and 50th WEDDING ANNIVERSARY MASS
Cardinal Seán O'Malley, O.F.M. Cap. invites all couples of the Archdiocese of Boston who are marking their 25th and 50th wedding anniversary in 2013 to join him for the annual celebration at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 11:30am.
• Mass will include a renewal of marriage vows by all participating anniversary couples.
• Family members and friends of the participating couples, as well as the general public, are welcome to attend.
• Family and friends do not need to register, only anniversary couples.
• A formal invitation (including general information and directions) will be mailed (beginning in May) to the home of the anniversary couple. If you would like an invitation please call Margie Gallagher at 826-4303 by May 15th.
 
ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT
            Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place every first Friday from May thru October from 3-7PM at Portiuncula Chapel, Cardinal Cushing.
