ARISE
Season 5: : WE ARE THE GOOD NEWS
Do you want to grow spiritually, experience prayer with others and put
your faith into action? Then ARISE is for you!
ARISE
begins the week of October 3, 2010 and is a six week commitment of 90
minutes each.
Sign-up weekends are September 11 & 12 and September 18 & 19.
What is ARISE Together in Christ?
It's a three-year, parish centered process of spiritual renewal and evangelization that enables people to deepen their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others.
Who is ARISE Together in Christ for?
It's for YOU! WHY? Because you want to grow spiritually, experience prayer and put your faith into action. ARISE Together In Christ is for everyone, from 16-96 years! It is for you, your family, friends, neighbors, those in college, parents, single people, couples. It is for those who attend mass daily and those who have not attended in years. It is for lay people and for those called to a vocation in the church.
What is a session like?
Gather We've chosen to gather as a small community to share prayer, life and faith so we take time to introduce ourselves, find out what's going on in our lives and open with prayer.
Breaking Open Our Story After listening to a short reflection from the book, everyone has an opportunity to reflect on it in silence and then to share something of their own experience if they desire.
Breaking Open God's Story A scripture is read and everyone has an opportunity to reflect in silence and/or to share how that scripture is speaking to them today.
Invitation To Act The group or individual, upon reflection on the scriptures commit to a challenging but doable action for the coming week. It could be as simple as praying for one another.
